Consumed - House Renovations/Decorating

Wow, it's been awhile since we last spoke  - man time flies!

When I'm not thinking of running clothes - I'm looking around my house fantasizing about what I want to do the house

I really hate how dark my kitchen is and the wood paneling. I also wish I had a separate dining area. I have also toyed with the idea of removing the wall between the living and the kitchen (I am pretty sure it's load bearing) and how spacious it would look if I took out the ceiling and used the attic space for the ceiling, creating vaulted ceilings. Then I think about the new windows that the house needs and changing the builder grade doors to some better quality. I also wish there were a second bathroom in the house, it is amazing how two people in one house seem to need to occupy the same room at the exact same time.

My dream kitchen consists of lots of windows like this:

I think I could easily do the below but I have to admit - which is way out of style - but, I prefer closed concept - I like the rooms in their own compartment but letting in more light would make me change my mind or sacrifice I should say -

I seem to really be drawn to teal this year - I have been  thinking of painting the kitchen
this color and I really like this chair  for my living room.  I worry this  color be too much for all over color but I'm thinking a cool  accent color.

Forgiveness or Fool

Went to church and wouldn't you know it, it's all about forgiveness. I don't know about you, but my pride gets in the way and I do not want to look like a fool. At what point do you stop forgiving and not look like a fool. Of course, forgiveness does not necessarily mean that you forget or continue in a toxic relationship. I do struggle with this concept, the turn the other cheek and love everybody. Loving someone that hurt you....<sigh> THAT is a tall order, do you have to be a saint to achieve this? Treadmill Running for Slow Pokes

Really, you can enjoy treadmill running when you cannot get outside. I have read many blogs and Pinterest articles on running on a treadmill. I must admit that I did not think I was physically fit to do any of them, even "beginner". I am a slow runner outside, I usually average 13-minute miles and usually walk up steep hills, after I hurt myself charging up a hill thinking my body would do whatever I wanted.  You know, mind over matter...well sometimes, the body rebels resulting in an injury. I learned that hills were the culprit when traveling on business and found a treadmill with those cool maps to run anywhere. I chose Italy and right away my shin starting hurting and I was struggling, looked down and I was on an incline and oh, it hurt so badly. This pain has made me shy away from running hills and I have never run an incline on the treadmill, I was happy to run at 5.2 flat (feeling accomplished even). Wants vs Needs

Really, you can stay focused on your financial goals - even when the "I wants and I shoulds" creep in your mind... I was sitting in a meeting admiring the other women's manicured nails and thought to myself, "I am going to start getting my nails done." Then it occurred to me that would be about $60 a month and I have a lot of other goals that are more worthy to my cause than getting my nails done. It's only the first week and my financial goals are already pushed in the back corner :) It occurred to me that that was a want - not a need. Wants needs to be factored in AFTER reaching the goals I have already outlined: The three goals I am focused on for the first quarter are paying on my dryer (hopefully the current will hold up until then), saving a $1000 or to put in smaller chunks at least 84 a month, planning a June wedding.
